Considering the price and the negative reviews we expected much worse and instead we were pleasantly satisfied. Those who complain probably don't know what they're booking or claim to have the same things as other hotels that cost at least double. The quadruple room was huge. A double bed with sofa and coffee table on one side and two well spaced single beds and a wardrobe on the other, two windows overlooking the courtyard / garden. Furnishing and beds not exactly recent but all comfortable and functional. The bathroom clearly shows that it is the oldest part of the room and has several years on its shoulders, but still sink, shower and toilet are fully functional. There was also a hairdryer and soap and shower gel dispensers. We found everything clean, from the linen, to the floors, to the bathroom. We were afraid of the cold considering the period and instead the heating was also too efficient, at night we turned off the taps of the radiators otherwise it was too hot to sleep. Breakfast more than adequate for the price. Cakes, biscuits, butter and jam with bread of various types, yogurt with cereals for the sweet part and boiled eggs, ham, salami, cheese, salad and small sausages for salty. Water and juice at will in the jug and the classic automatic machine for chocolate, coffee, cappuccino, etc. The location is good, we always went downtown on foot with a nice walk along the river, and to the castle crossing the park where there is the giant metronome overlooking the city and it took us about 30 minutes to the center and 45 to the castle. However you can take public transport just outside the Hotel. If I were to return to Prague, at this price, I would definitely come back here. The only note I could make is that blackout curtains are missing. There are the classic semi-transparent ones and then some gray curtains that are not thick and let light through. Now in winter you can stay there, but I think in summer you wake up at dawn to all the light that comes in.

We stayed here as part of a Wowcher Mystery Holiday, itt didn't look amazing from the photos or reviews but we went in open minded as we knew we'd have a great time in Prague regardless. But PLEASE, if you value your sleep and level of hospitality, look elsewhere. I appreciate I sound like a moaner in this review but this was honestly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The bed was terrible - two single mattresses that felt incredibly thin that flicked up at the sides when you got into bed - and the pillows honestly may as well have not been there, they flattened down to nothing. There was no mirror, fridge, safe, iron or ironing board in our room - you really do just get the basics. Storage was also minimal - there were two tiny hanging rails with a small shelf underneath. We used these but wished we hadn't as our clothes ended up covered in a white substance. Our curtains didn't close fully, so the room never got dark at night as we were located at the front of the hotel. The other benefit of being at the front was being woken up by the roadworks at the end of the road between 6:30 and 7am each day. Soundproofing inside the hotel is also non-existent - there were three doors between our bed and the stairwell, but we could still hear people talking on the stairs two floors below us. We'd paid a bit extra to have breakfast included - just don't bother. When we checked in we were told that reception was open until 7pm. We had a late flight back home so asked if we could leave our bags at reception to collect later, to be told that we'd need to be back by 5pm at the latest. It may have only been a couple of hours difference, but it was such a shame to have to end our last day prematurely. I'm guessing the lady just wanted to finish early. I've kept this review brief, believe it or not, but hopefully you can get a picture of the kind of hotel this is.

Very basic but welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, and very importantly very close to tram and bus stops, so you can reach in a few minutes the center, the old town and all the beautiful places to visit.
