I made a reservation for a room priced at 44.00 EUR. It was an agreement between me, the host, and the booking site (Booking.com). To my surprise, when I checked in the hotel, the host demanded the 44.00 EUR full in cash. When I refused it, the host offered an alternative which was a higher price in the local currency CZK. Since I was from abroad and nowhere else to go, I had to take it. I ended up paying the inflated price + an exchange fee. I filed a complaint to Booking.com, but it was no help. On top of that, the place was a mess. There were a lot of debris and pieces of hairs inside and outside the room. When I first used the shower, it took a good 10 minutes or so to get hot water with a stable water pressure. Other travelers I talked were not happy about the abysmal abuse that was Aaron. You know what the host did afterward? She demanded a good review! Unbelievable. Furthermore, the lock at the gate and doors were very primitive; you could tell it is not difficult to break into the property from outside. Since the neighbourhood is not particularly nice, you know what could happen. Lastly, the host hardly speaks English. Avoid aaron at all cost. If you have no choice, do it at your own peril.

booked this hotel through hay's travel. I did not check tripadvisor first before booking it which is should have done. the hotel looked liked it belonged in a rough council estate in UK was in such a poor area of Prague took 45 mins to walk by foot into the city centre. hotel room was poor. stains on the bedding curtains and the floor as well as poo stains on the bathroom floor. room had 1 plug socket which the TV was plugged into. the TV looked as though it belonged in a 1940s antique shop. bedding was not changed once whilst we was there no fresh towels. hotel had no kettle or a safe. breakfast was basic ham, cheese, bread, egg, coffee and juice. hotel did not even have a toaster. so I gave breakfast a miss every day and got something when I went into the town centre. I do not even know how it managed to get a 3 star rating as I'd give it 0 star rating. you prob would get a better stay in a Prague prison than this place. so if I was you I'd avoid this hotel like the plague and book somewhere else.

I didn't look at TripAdvisor reviews before coming here (thought I did, but clear I didn't) I did check on booking.com & Expedia which all said this was a nice hotel. We got here early, around 10am and check in wasn't until 2pm, we were greeted and told we could go straight to our room which was fantastic! (No extra charge by the way), there are slight language barriers but that can be expected anywhere you go. The room (and hotel) are very outdated, but it was clean, tidy, beds were good enough for the 4 nights we stayed. The shower, was better than the one I have at home! Though small, difficult to get in, someone disabled would have no chance as it's like hopping over into a bath, even we struggled. HOWEVER, the room had no amenities, other than a very old TV with one American channel, this didn't concern us too much as we didn't come to Prague to sit in and watch TV! BUT, there was no kettle, tea, coffee etc though it says there is a minibar in each room on the website, there isn't! No hairdryer, I did ask for one, got given it, for it to not work! Didn't bother asking for another, did without. We had to ask TWICE for fresh towels but they didn't understand us so I took a towel down to be told 'maid will come at 4pm'. We eventually got new towels. The rooms weren't cleaned and the beds weren't changed while we were there but this doesn't concern me, it shouldn't anybody else either, the cleaners came in, emptied the bins and (eventually) gave us clean towels and that's all you need for a 3/4 night stay. The overnight guy and the breakfast staff were really accommodating and pleasant, but the ones during the day weren't so much. Not a huge range for breakfast, but it did us for the time we were here - for the prices you pay, it was totally fine. So hotel itself? Slightly below average, due to lack of amenities more than anything. ALSO, it is a long walk to the town, it took us anywhere between 30-50 mins to get in, there is lots of transport available but we just walked. So, if you're on a budget and don't mind long walks and a slightly below average hotel, book here. It has done the job for us but we won't stay again. After re-looking at hotels in Prague, there are many that are much closer to the city centre, much more modern with all the amenities you could need, for what, about £30-50 extra. This was very last min for us but we will definitely do our research next time.
