Denisa Hotel

If you can, please check my previous reviews: I am generally an extremely flexible and patient guest, but this hotel is beneath criticism. During the 3 PM check-in, the cleaning lady, who was still working in the room, started shouting at us and kicked us out in front of an 8-year-old child. Instead of compensation, the reception gave us a different room on the 2nd floor, which was an absolute horror: peeling wallpaper, moldy walls, and disgusting stains everywhere. The receptionist was incredibly arrogant, claiming the room was "newly renovated" and refusing to change it. After hours of hassle, coordinating with Booking.com, and being completely ignored by the receptionist (who deliberately prioritized other guests and made endless phone calls), the attitude only changed when I stated that I would report them to the public health authorities and the police. At that point, the manager suddenly became available; we received another room (still flawed, but liveable), and they refunded the price of one night. The "revenge" came afterward: the receptionist stopped greeting us, calls from the room phone were ignored, and when calling from a mobile, they hung up on me or cut off the line mid-conversation while I was simply trying to arrange the breakfast boxes. Appalling, anti-guest attitude and filth. Avoid this place at all costs!

Good location on a quiet street with Albert supermarket nearby and plenty of good restaurants and delis on adjacent streets. Airport very easy to get to; tram 20 or 26 from Vistezne namesti to Divoka Sarka then airport bus 59. Choice of trams to city centre, 8, 18, 20, 26 15 mins, or the metro from Dejvicka. Room was basic but comfortable, the bathroom so so. Lift small and not for the claustrophobic!! Breakfast poor by normal hotel standards, next time if we book will eat in nearby cafes. Have to bear in mind that the cost of our stay was approaching 55% of what we would have paid at the Hotel International down the road below Zelena.

The photos of the ad are nothing like reality, a pretty old hotel, with carpet of a century, breakfast that puts you in the photos to reality, there is a world, no fruit or pastries, nothing, some cereals, a coffee machine that does not go well, very crappy, the closet smelled very bad. The elevator was scary. In return, the beds very comfortable, very central and quiet, and very well connected. And very friendly reception staff.
