Hotel Cechie

We went to the hotel to play bowling. The receptionist was very unpleasant to us since the beginning (I think it was because we are polish, last time when we went there with Czech friend we didn’t have any problems) we had 4 multisport cards and we wanted to use them and play one hour for free (each card is 25% discount) could a start to play because first we were waiting for receptionist to turn it on and later we found out that it wasn’t working so we had to wait event more for her to fix it. So we were playing for an hour since then. When we were leaving she asked us to pay more because we were playing 2 hours (totally not true!!!) she called us “smart ass” when we told her that we didn’t want to pay. I don’t recommend it to anyone who is not czech. There are a lot of hotels in Prague, don’t choose this one.

I would like to compliment all the staff, especially Reception, on how friendly and helpful they were during my stay. They made our stay all the more pleasurable. The hotel is immaculately clean. Rooms are spacious. Clean towels every day. Breakfast has everything you need to get you started for your day. There is an Albert supermarket, kebab shop and pizzeria within 5 minutes walking. Got take away pizzas 2 nights from the pizzeria and brought them back to our hotel room - great value and great choice. Was packed the 2 nights we visited. Old town is about 35-40 minute walk. The metro is 5 minute walk from the hotel, but if weather is nice do the walk, no hills and its an easy walk. The one little quibble I had was that there was no kettle in the room, however reception were good enough to boil water for me and give me a mug for a leimsip when I wasn't feeling well. I didn't like to bother them but they were so helpful and caring. Well done Hotel Cechie. We will see ye soon xx

We booked this hotel for a city trip. At first our concern was the distance to the city center and the fact the hotel does not sit in a well known area. We are super surprised about all the hotel offers. Sure the rooms are not super modern. But they are big enough. Clean and have all you want. The hotel offers breakfast. Which is good. Hotel has even tennis court and other sport amenities. A 24h reception and a bar. Also the distance to old town is perfect. With an Uber or public transport it is around the corner. And cheap. In short total recommendation. And cheap!
