Clarion Congress Hotel Ceske Budejovice

Rooms are clean; staff is helpful; conveniently located to Old Town, shopping center, and bus stops; very good breakfast buffet. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a nice room on the 10 floor with views of the city center. The rooms are not large but sufficient, the bathroom with View of the city - here was a bit of a problem that the water runs a lot off and the whole floor was full. Slightly unfavourable but not tragic. In the room we had a fridge (probably not all rooms) - as well as kettle and a safe. Only minus point no free water in the room! In the lobby, however, there is a water dispenser where you can help yourself. The beds were comfortable, it was cleaned daily - and for our child there was a cot for free (very sweet). A highlight is breakfast - in the new dining room you can enjoy typical Czech and international specialities. Here you get happy! It is only a few meters to the old town of budweis - on foot that is no problem. Next to the hotel is also a shopping center - and there is a parking space (13/14 euros per night) ... that's okay.

The hotel is easy walking from Ceske Budejovice’s old town and is the tallest building around, making it easily visible. It can accommodate large groups but it is surprising for a congress hotel to be lacking a gym, the nearest being a 15 minutes walk away. Floor 14 has nice views and even the bathroom has large windows. Breakfast buffet was also rather good. Would stay here again with a big group but would probably choose a smaller boutique hotel in the old city otherwise.
