Best Western Hotel Hebron

Just returned from a four night stay with a friend. We are both in our 60’s. Firstly the couple of plus points: walkable from Central Station; great breakfasts; lovely receptionists (apart from one!) and Meatpacking District for eats and drinks is a short walk too. The negatives: the street it’s on is a little seedy. It’s right next door to a massive strip/table dancing club which is rather a turnoff as you walk down the street. There was building work going on, on the street and the workers start banging about and using power tools at about 6am. There was no aircon so we slept with our window open. On two of the four nights the street was so very noisy we were awoken by noisy revellers for hours in the night. Not good! We asked if the desk has 24 hr security/reception cover because they’d have heard it too. The response from the front desk was simply that they hotel has no control on noise outside. No offer to relocate. The same response came back to the feedback form, adding you could’ve come down to reception! Yeah right - middle of night from second floor, 60 odd year old women. Had we known about the noise risk we would have asked for a room at the back. Finally this hotel has four stars. Therefore we anticipated that food would be available in the evenings, proper food. This would’ve been great on the first night especially as it was lashing with rain. Alas no kitchen service just sweets or salty snacks and fridge drinks by the lobby. We wouldn’t stay here again. Very disappointed.

This hotel is ideally situated in the city centre, close to the Central Railway Station. This places it within walking distance to Tivoli Gardens & the Hop On - Hop Off bus services. Nearby are several restaurants, including Thai; Indian; the Tivoli Food Hall, that offers a variety of street food; fast food establishments & pubs/bars offering food, & of course, alcohol. The hotel itself is nicely laid out, with an intimate courtyard. There are plenty of choices for breakfast & the food is nicely presented for the continental option & cooked to perfection for hot food. We had a little difficulty with the shower, but not a huge problem & the TV seemed in an unusual position in relation to the room, but as we were not in Copenhagen to watch TV, not a problem. Our room was of a reasonable size, comfortable & no complaints about the bed(s). The staff were always friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel & would choose it once again on another visit to Copenhagen.

We stayed in the Family room. The location was excellent- minutes walk to the train station and Tivoli. The atmosphere was charming with a nice central courtyard. Staff were pleasant - particularly during the morning buffet (which is good quality - waffles, bacon, eggs, museli / yoghurt and gluten free options). We felt it was good value. One character of the family room to be aware of is there is no door between the sleeping rooms. The bathroom is large with a seperate bath, shower and double vanities.
