First Hotel Esplanaden

I stayed in this hotel back in April 2013. Anders, who worked at the front desk was amazing, and sooooo helpful. I would most definitely stay here again. It was a great location, close enough to walk to the main parts of the city.

I stayed at First Hotel Esplanaden in July 2013 with a friend. It was our first trip to Copenhagen and from the reviews and map we got an impression that the hotel was located close to the center. That was not the case and we ended up walking quite a bit during our stay. That was not a problem because the weather was pretty good, but if there is a next time, I would choose a hotel somewhere else. The hotel itself was pretty nice looking outside and the lobby was stylish. We had a superior room, which made us wonder what an ordinary room would be like because it was really small and dingy. If we had stayed longer times in the room, I would have been very disappointed, but for our purpose (sleeping and storing our belongings) it worked ok. The room was high and very light. The beds were ok and the room was pretty clean. One thing worth mentioning: the breakfast was very good. A good selection of everything and everything was fresh. We also found the service pretty good.

I stayed at this hotel for one night before a cruise and it was fine for that purpose. Even though the room was very small, the location was great, and the breakfast very good. I would recommend it for that purpose, but not so much for a longer stay.
