VIK Hotel Cayena Beach All Inclusive

Overall, a very nice stay. The meals were excellent, varied, and I appreciated the option to customize the plates. The Vik restaurant offered new choices the following week, which is a real plus. The room was spotless, with a magnificent view. One small regret: the spa bath was not functioning. The shower water was lukewarm, not hot enough to wash my hair, and the water flow was weak, making the shower difficult. Access to the beach of the neighboring hotel is convenient, although the descent could be improved. The staff at the reception was warm and very helpful. The restrooms were always clean. The only point to review: the servers lacked a bit of friendliness.

We stayed at the VIK Hotel Cayena Beach. I will start with the good things about this resort. Close to the airport, easy check in but don’t expect a cocktail on arrival. Resort is clean, the room was big and clean with an amazing view. The staff at the EL Cano restaurant was amazing and a special thanks to the chef who made our breakfast, the barman and to Jonathan. They were all amazing and very accommodating. There were always loungers available on the beach and lots of shade, the lounges were very comfortable. There was no service available on the beach until the last day when someone did come and ask us if wanted anything. Now for the bad. The rest of the staff were not that great and not very accommodating. Most requests were met with a no. If you like good wine or sparkling wine, you are out of luck. You will need to pay extra for that. They only have very basic red and white wine, not good at all. There is no room service. There is also no snack bar where you could get a pastry, coffee etc. I don’t like to take a shower I prefer to soak in a tub but that was not possible as the water was not even lukewarm, so forget about hot water. When I complained, nothing changed, the water stayed below lukewarm. Will not be returning to this resort.

I wanted to drop a note/review regarding a gel manicure I received at the spa. I was very impressed with the Russian manicure, as I have never experienced one before. The manicurist did a wonderful job! The manicure lasted more than 5 weeks and only needed to be updated because it had grown out so much. I then got another here in the US and it is already chipping and cracking and it hasn't even been 2 weeks. So if you are contemplating whether or not to get a manicure at the VIK Arena Blanca/VIK Hotel Cayena Beach... do not hesitate! I highly recommend it based upon my experience!
