When arriving at the facility it just felt off. The place a seemed runned down. I was initially given a room with a pungent smell and leaking AC. Everything in the room seemed rusty and old. The second room had a pungent smell had mold in the room

Just came back from our 6th stay at this hotel. Stayed for a month this time and enjoyed every minute. It is an older hotel and as usual there were a few minor problems after check in but they were looked after right away. We really like the location - probably the best in Las Terrenas, and their beautiful gardens. Gardens and pool are very well maintained and I especially appreciate that there is no pool bar with music. It seems to be that Dominicans believe that there is only one volume for music - as loud as possible with as much bass as possible so being at the pool there is a pleasure. This is not a five star hotel but that is not what we want anyways. The management and staff are definitely 5 star though and that makes up for a lot. They really like to look after you and if there is a problem just mention it to them and it will be looked after. I would like to thank Philippe, Milkiana and all of the staff and maids that made sure we had an outstanding stay.

Residencia del Paseo in Las Terrenas, Samana, Dominican Republic is one of the best parts of my many stays in the Dominican Republic. Philippe and his staff go the extra mile at every opportunity to accommodate their guests and are always kind and understanding of cultures different from their own. The hotel's pool, roomy efficiency kitchens, comfortable beds, and much-needed air conditioning are perfect for extended stays, and the proximity to Las Terrenas' beautiful beaches make the hotel a very attractive destination. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!
