The water went and the 3 times I tried to bathe. Basic rooms with just a towel for the body, no hands, or face. Good air conditioning and also cable TV. Acceptable breakfast for its price. Corn tortillas the best. Your staff is very helpful. The island of Santa Cruz, it is not so big, so you can walk to many places, but you like you can take some trucks that charge you $ 2 anywhere (from one to 4 people maximum).

Yes this place is a hostel and not a hotel. It’s listed as a hostel on TA so it’s not trying to deceive its clientele. This hostel is conveniently located in walking distance to the main ocean boardwalk. It serves a nice breakfast (muesli with fruit, eggs, fresh bread, ham and a cheese empanada). The staff is courteous but speaks limited English. This isn’t the type of place I would ever book. I prefer luxury on a dime. This place was included with our cruise (since we got to town a day and earlier). We contemplated booking a nicer room but decided to not waste money. We’re glad we saved our money but wouldn’t stay here for more than a night. The bed is not comfy and the room, though clean, seemed more like an air bnb- had scuff marks on walls, mismatched furniture etc. The place is not the same as Casa Natura (despite having photos that show that name on the wall). Casa Natura is an unrelated property though it has similar style of balcony. It seems as though Casa Natura is better rated.

owners are not very helpful, The rooms are large, the air-conditioning finally cools down at night. We had no hot water until we complained twice and then I think they turned it off again. Walk up stairs to rooms so not handicapped accessible. Ants all over the room.
