Great resort, but definitely has some issues ​Overall: 8/10 ​Just finished up my vacation here. Honestly, the resort is great overall, mostly because the aqua park is absolutely amazing and so much fun. That said, there are some really annoying management issues you should know about before booking. ​Useful Tips ​Book your restaurants immediately: If you want to eat at the specialty restaurants, book them on the very first day you arrive. It is incredibly hard to get a slot. We tried booking three days before leaving, and everything was completely full, so we couldn't get in. ​The satellite maps are right: If you look at satellite images online and think parts look unfinished, they actually still are—the last time I saw them was July 13th, 2026. The areas right next to the lagoon are still a work in progress, so just keep that in mind when picking where to walk. ​The Wi-Fi situation: The Wi-Fi is slow, like around 10 Mbps, and a speed test won't even run on it. But at least TikTok and Instagram work, and you honestly won't be using it that much anyway. ​Pro-tip for drinks: The self-serve soda machines are actual trash and use a terrible off-brand syrup. But if you go to the counter at the main buffet and ask for the real deal, they’ll give you actual brand-name soda. (Note: this only works at the buffet, the aqua park bars don't have the real stuff). ​The Good ​The aqua park is easily the best part of the whole place. ​Amazing rooms: If you like having a good room, the resort is amazing for this. We got a full two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a living room, and it was incredible. ​The Beach: The beach is pretty nice as well. But keep in mind, there are pretty hard waves, so if you have young children, definitely keep that in mind. ​Quick warning on the slides: Even though the park is amazing, there are two slides that get ridiculously busy with massive lines. Honestly, I recommend just skipping them entirely because the wait isn't worth it, and there are plenty of other great slides to choose from. ​The food is just average for an all-inclusive, nothing special. ​The Bad ​Check-in was brutal. It took a full hour, and they don't even take your luggage for you at the front gate when you arrive like other hotels do. Usually, you just sit down, wait 2 minutes, and get your room key. Hauling your own bags and waiting an hour after traveling sucks. ​The place is way too busy for its size. at the aqua park It took us almost 30 minutes every day just to hunt down a sunshade and find a place to sit and put our towels. ​The shuttle bus situation is incredibly annoying. There is a bus to take you to the water park, but it closes at the exact same time the park does. The second the slides shut down and everyone wants to leave, the bus disappears, so you're forced to walk all the way back while tired and wet. ​Despite the annoying check-in, the crazy wait times on those two slides, the long walks, and the crowded pool areas, the aqua park and the excellent rooms was so good that it still made the trip worth it. Solid 8 out of 10.

We stayed in room 417, and we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mahmud for everything he did for us. First of all, Mahmud is an extraordinary person with a kind and generous heart, and only after that, an outstanding member of the housekeeping team. His kindness, respect, and genuine care made a lasting impression on us from the very first day. Every day, when we returned to our room, he had prepared a wonderful surprise for us. Whether it was beautifully folded towel decorations or another thoughtful touch, he always made us smile. The room was spotless every single day, and his attention to detail was truly exceptional. Mahmud didn’t just do his job—he did it with passion, dedication, and genuine care. Thanks to him, our stay became even more enjoyable and memorable. He made us feel welcome, appreciated, and at home throughout our vacation. Calimera Blend Paradise is very fortunate to have someone like Mahmud on their team. Employees like him make a real difference and are one of the reasons guests want to return. Thank you, Mahmud, for your professionalism, kindness, and the beautiful memories you helped create.
