Morgenland Village

Located near Mt. Sinai-short car trip away this is a clean and safe place to stay. It isn't fancy, but has all you need. There is a shopping center in walking distance and the sellers were helpful but not pushy. The food was good,

We stayed here for one night while we were on a tour with about 40 other people. Saint Catherine’s is out in the middle of the wilderness so there really isn’t any other place to stay. The food at the buffet was okay, there just wasn’t that many different options. The room was clean, but I was glad that I didn’t have to take a shower. It just didn’t look that great. Around the perimeter of the reception room there are multiple little shops. The first one that my friends and I went into, the male shop owner started hitting on us right away, he even tried to get one of my friends into the back room. He even asked one of the married men in our group “how many wives he had?” After walking out of his store we didn’t go anywhere else without at least one guy from our group with us. The vibe of this place is just so weird. We also realized that all the workers here are guys and we didn’t even see one other woman who wasn’t staying here.

Couldn’t close the bathroom door. Breakfast was supposed to be at 7, but wasn’t ready. Place was nearly empty, but they put us in rooms that were the furthest away. Stray cats meowing loudly right outside rooms. Difficult to control room temperature. Not a great stay.
