Kanabesh Village

Have visited this beach for many years due to location, cleanliness & coral reef. New owners taken over hotel have become greedy. More interested in putting water sport activities like banana boat, speed boats etc. closing off reef for these facilities is ridiculous. Disappointed is an understatement.

I haven't been to this hotel, but I mean the beach. Toll beach. 5$ per person, you can negotiate cheaper. The beach is cleaned up, but there's garbage anyway. At the entrance they search things for alcohol. You can't bring it in, but money can. The sunbeds in the shade are old, like the beds of homeless people. There are plastic new ones for these is a fight with the staff. They DEMAND a dollar per seat. If you put a sunbed in, they start screaming, they drive you away. They say you can't do it here, and a couple of minutes later they drag the Italian sunbeds to this place for money. But they're free. There are food and bag vendors on the beach, kids are trying to sell bracelets. Called to extreme rest(banana,parachute etc.) Parachute is $12.5 per person. Banana $5. On take a glass-bottomed badge!!! On the boat, the glass is old, all shattered. We were lied to by a COWBOY. Said the reef is alive, there's something to watch. That's not true! There are similar reefs in the lobe of the entire beach. More fish!!! Buy a mask for $5 and you can see for yourself. It's a $10 per person ride.

We were guests of this beach via a different hotel. The beach is cramped and full of litter. The sunbeds are wooden, full of splinters and very dirty. The security search bags and refuse to allow you to take even your own water with you. The beautiful coral area is now ruined as a motorised boat/jetski entry has been put over the top of it. I was looking forward to a massage, but I was in tears when I left. The young guy doing the massage kept pushing my shoulder off the bench exposing me, and pulling my hips so I was exposed below. I had to grab the towel to help cover up. About half way through the massage he started whispering in my ear how much tip he wanted!! Altogether very uncomfortable and i'll never return. If this beach is free with your hotel please avoid it and go next door.
