Sonesta Beach Resort Taba

I had a fantastic time at la playa. The staff were so welcoming helpful and friendly. The food was the best I have had in a resort. The chef esam was so friendly and a genius. Many thanks to Mr tamir , the towel man Abulel,esam,ached,esam my waiter,Yusef!provider of rather large ouzos. And. The amazing Saied owner of the animation team and AMAZING fire eater and fakir. He has trained his assistant zied who now does his own show too. Saied is a brilliant dj who loves music. I saw him at another resort and he was so amazing I came to see his show at la playa. I would thoroughly recommend la playa for a great holiday. Oh yes and it was superbly clean and the housekeeping was excellent. .

I love the hotel, the view, sea, pool, staff and everything there ♥️ The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. The food is okay, the animation team were friendly and funny. I will choose the same place next time for sure ♥️ Thanks La playa ♥️

Our check in experience was short but brusque. We have visited in previous years for birthday or anniversary and it went smoothly. Not sure what’s going on this year but the level of service, attention, and facilities is sub par and I’m being nice. When you pay above 300+ per night for a room you expect certain things and this was experience was short of an 89.00 per night stay at an interstate motel. We chose to stay at the beach house and room 444, because it’s usually the quietest and nicest area but this time oh boy. Our room had sticky floors, ants everywhere, and roaches in the bathroom. I came home w a rash and each time we were in the room I was getting eaten alive by something. The amenities in the room went from very good to now they didn’t even have body lotion but were quick to have tons of things you could pay for. Of note I would have paid for lotion and had I known I would have brought some. The shampoo and conditioner I doubt they are what they say they are because they failed at their job in the worst way. The housekeeper (particularly the Rude Russian lady) completely ignore do not disturb signs and kept knocking aggressively in the morning asking if she could come to clean the room. Decided to open the door in my undies to prove the damn point that the sign was there for a reason and we were not ready yet. However the cleaning job was horrible as the sticky section by the snack area remained sticky during our entire stay and am sure still remains to this day. By the way they come around to vacuum the hallway at around 8:30-9:00 so don’t expect to sleep in either. The restaurant staff is poorly trained. We sat at a high top during a non busy time waiting for service for about 10 minutes when we decided to go place an order with the bartender. Then the waitress came out dropped food and never came to ask how it was. And we wish she had because it was horrible. Downright the worst experience we’ve had there and will not be back. Our last day we ordered room service. The coffee was spilled everywhere, delivered cold and not even a “I’m sorry I fell with the tray and messed everything up, let me get you another one” everything was cold like they didn’t plan it right because only the tea water was the only thing scalding hot. I asked for a bowl of strawberries and they sent blueberries instead and when I called to ask for a switch they said (and I’m not joking) oh well we thought it would be the same for you! They are good try them! No. DO NOT RECOMMEND UNDER CURRENT MANAGEMENT, STAFF AND ROOM CONDITIONS.
