PK Ilmarine Hotel

The location is very good and it is an old building that was well restored. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good, including with towel dryer. The breakfast is very weak. The mattress was bad, and the pillows were also uncomfortable. In the closet was an empty bottle of wine, which demonstrates poor cleaning.

Me and the guy stayed at this hotel one night, during our European trip. Upon check-in we were greeted by welcoming staff who checked us in and gave us useful information. The room has what you need; a large bed, a nice bathroom, a hairdryer, a TV and a small minibar. We also ordered breakfast, which had a nice selection. The hotel is also very central. Nice hotel in quiet and nice surroundings. It was short distance to the old town, which we can recommend to check out. There was also nice walking distance to the kaia. There is a small parking in the hotel that had limited space, but there were several cheap options in the area around the hotel. Parking was no problem. We parked in fast (5€/24h), a gravel ground right below the hotel. We can therefore recommend this hotel to other guests.

Not a great stay at this hotel which is a shame as it’s in a really good location and has the potential to be really good. Short walk to the old town and port area. The hotel was a former metalworking factory - I really liked the photos of the old factory. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and was comfortable. However, the air conditioning unit was located directly overhead and it switched on & off every 30 minutes. It was really loud which meant we had very little sleep on our first night. We complained at reception & asked to be moved to another room, only to be told there were no other rooms available & so we were advised to buy ear plugs! It felt like reception staff had no interest in resolving the issue. Although the hotel says it has a bar and restaurant these aren’t available as have been closed for some time. Breakfast at the hotel was ok - good range of items available.
