One of those places that involves some work after reservation. But, Anastasia was very good about when she was available, so turned out fine. Room was clean and ok, could have been bigger and needed a table and chairs. Area good, with shopping centre across street, residential area with long sandy beach, but crossed street a few times to avoid drunks. Easy 20 min access by bus to Tallinn centre. Special note: this is a big building. Although laundry is free, there was only one dryer.

Stroomi beach is one of the best beaches for kitesurfing in Tallinn. If the wind is blowing hard, you must find it. The water is low, there are not much underwater rocks and you can achieve quite nice speed at there. In general the local crowd is using the beach for hanging and barbecue.

Hotel Stroomi was closed already for some time ago. We stayed in Stroomi Residents Apartments, which is run by a russian couple in some of the former Hotel Stroomi rooms. It was more reasonably prised accommodation in a weekend when hotels in city center were either fully booked or terribly expensive. Most of the former hotel rooms appeared to be used for longer residence. Good: Close to Pelguranna beach, big Maxima hypermarket and bus stop with frequent buses. Helpful landlord. In our room wifi worked ok. Fridge and small kitchenette available. Our night was quiet. Less good: No reception, arrival and departure had to be agreed in advance. Naturally no breakfast. Quite far from the center, 15-20 minutes by bus. 50 € deposit for the room key.
