Sheraton Fiji Resort

We had such a fantastic time at the Sheraton Golf & Beach Resort Fiji! We booked the large oceanfront studio with two double beds, and it was perfect for our family of four. Being our first time in Fiji, we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed. All the beautiful staff were so warm and friendly, and they were absolutely wonderful with our children. A special mention to Annie, who our baby boy warmed up to so easily on our very first day — she was so lovely with him! We also had the complimentary buffet breakfast included in our package, which was fantastic and offered plenty of options. We really enjoyed starting our mornings there, and every now and then we were treated to the beautiful harmonies of the staff singing in Fijian or singing “Happy Birthday” to someone celebrating their special day. It added such a lovely and authentic Fijian touch to the experience. There was so much to do around the resort, and we loved that you also have the option to leave the resort and head over to the Marina via the Bula Bus. Our toddler absolutely loved riding the bus, and it was such a convenient way to get around. The kids’ club being located near the pool was another big plus. It was so handy having it close by, especially as our toddler loved going between the kids’ club and swimming. The pool area also had inflatables and toys for the children to enjoy, which kept them entertained. The resort really does have everything you could need onsite. There’s a decent-sized convenience store for essentials, a few other shops, and even a little Fijian hut/market, which we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to stop by the during our stay, they also offered hair braiding there, which would have been lovely if my toddler was keen to do it. We really loved the family-friendly atmosphere of the resort, while still feeling like somewhere you could enjoy as a couple. It strikes a great balance for families without taking away from the overall resort experience. The only things I could fault were the noisy, stiff sliding door in our room that opened onto the oceanfront area, and the mattress cover on the day bed, which definitely needs replacing. We simply flipped the cover over for the duration of our stay and it was fine. Other than those small things, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming back to the Sheraton in the future and would happily recommend it to other families looking for a beautiful, family-friendly resort in Fiji!

The Sheraton Fiji has nice facilities but we would of appreciated greater transparency when it comes to infection control. I was part of a large group that stayed for 6 nights. After the 3rd night around 25 people in the group became very ill with gastroenteritis (vomiting/diarrhea). We were told the illness has been present in the hotel for a few weeks. Surprisingly there was no alert from management and no attempt to spray hands with antiseptic of wash hands before entering any of the restaurants. There was no hand wash around the hotel either. I would encourage the hotel to be more transparent when an outbreak of this sort occurs in the future and take infection control seriously. Spending you time in your room severely ill on a holiday is no fun.

Love this resort! The staff are super friendly and the rooms are great. The kids pool is incredible and love the kids club.
