Mercure Nadi

Location is very convenient, between the shopping area in the centre and the airport. Staff are in general friendly, and the breakfast is very good. Room are clean and nice. I recommend this place !

Stayed in Mercure Nadi for one night, the stay was comfortable and ok. Pros: - close to airport ($20 cash with yellow cab). - Welcoming and friendly staff - Good sized room and bathroom - Clean and fresh linen and towels - Good if you need a cheap room just to sleep and planning on spending most of time away. - Supermarket and restaurants/eateries at walking distance. Cons: - the hotel is old so it might seem a little dirty - Furniture, fixtures and plumbing is old. - No elevator (but they have rooms on ground floor as well - No free drinking water. Either purchase from the bar (or go to a nearby supermarket to buy cheap) I didn’t have high expectations (based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor) so I was ok, plus for us it was just a matter of overnight. Don’t expect too much and you will be ok.

There were many positives about this hotel. First the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby, restaurant, grounds and pool were all very nice and well kept. The breakfast offered a wide selection and the omelets were delicious. There was also a great variety of food and drinks to choose from at the restaurant. Everything I ordered was very good and well priced. The portions are quite large, and I could have easily shared my meals. The beautyLab spa on the premises was excellent and very well priced. The wifi is strong and reliable Now, here's where it lost 2 stars. The room was shabby and worn out. It definitely needed a refresh and the bathroom needed a remodel. The lighting in the room was poor. There was no curtain or door on the shower, the floor of the shower was a bit slippery and there was no bar to hold on to, and there was no shelf on which to put your own toiletries. As for location, I choose to stay in Nadi to save money since I was planning on taking day trips that offered transportation to and from the hotel. However, it is on a heavily trafficked street with no sidewalk and I'm not really sure how safe the area is, so if you're looking to easily walk to restaurants this might not be the place for you.
