Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa

Location On the coral coast halfway between Nadi and Suva, the lagoon and beach were delightful. I enjoyed early morning swims along the shore over seagrass meadows and late afternoon snorkels. No fishing is allowed so this part of the coral coast is like a nursery with lots of colourful fish. Atmosphere The staff are warm welcoming and helpful and the live entertainment is wonderfully boisterous The rooms and public spaces The rooms are well made and of real materials including fijian hardwood floors, cabinets and furniture and beautiful blue green tiles on the shower walls. It is one of Fijis better resorts of 1970’s as the Hyatt, the has been kept in great condition with progressive improvements while retaining its particular and distinctive character Programs Free kids programs are engaging entertaining and educational Value Free programs, free buffet breakfast and free accompanied children (up to 12 years) buffet seem to be funded by buffet lunch and dinner. Restaurants including steak house, italian and japanese were very good in the main and good value for money

We went as a family group of 6. 3 couples. The positives are the rooms are always clean, food was good and the location is amazing. The staff are the stand-out and made our experience special. Shout out to Ositi in the italian resturant, Tony in the Gardens and Soni who is everywhere. The negatives are pretty minimal but the buffet breakfast was underwhelming. The hotel is undergoing renovations so you need to be aware of this when booking. As others have said the paddleboards are hard to get as there is only two and we didnt get to go on glass bottom boat as it was broken down. But overall a very pleasant stay its just some things to be aware of when booking 😊 the resort is probably more a 4 star then 5.

Overall it was nice, a few things made it a less positive experience, one of them was the price of things which I felt was a large expense that you don't see if other places in Fiji, I would recommend the all inclusive package of you can. The staff were pretty friendly around the place but not overly friendly in the restaurants or at the bars, they seemed frustrated and at times annoyed by anything requested. I also don't think they actually wash the glasses at the poolside bar which I didn't realise until the last day. They just rinse and reuse them right away. They are also pretty under staffed so you wait long periods of time for a drink like 40 mins or so. I would say it's not really a family friendly vibe that I was hoping for to be honest. I went to the Naviti for the day and loved it there, much more family friendly. It was a nice stay in some ways though, I would not return here for the above reasons but would absolutely come back to Fiji in other spots that we have loved!
