Holiday Club Kuusamon Tropiikki

I do not like large hotels which i find impersonal and unwelcoming. The hotel is situated in the forest near lakes and has activities on offer. A restaurant which serves passable food, buffet style and a sports bar. There was a distinct lack of staff in the restaurant one evening. The room was ok & quiet.

The hotel room we were given was far below any reasonable standard for the price we paid. Travelling with a pet should not justify a room that is dirty, visibly worn, with broken amenities and an overall condition comparable to a low-budget, one-star facility. It is also reasonable to expect that the accommodation provider is fully aware of the condition of their rooms. During a short two-night stay, it should not be the customer’s responsibility to identify and report every deficiency or inconsistency. Equally disappointing was the response to our well-formulated feedback and complaint. The service was blunt, dismissive, and showed no willingness to address the issue constructively. The spa facilities themselves are small and outdated, and the on-site restaurant, O’Learys, is of similarly low standard while charging disproportionately high prices. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience on every level. I would strongly advise others to avoid Holiday Club accommodation.

Holiday Club Kuusamo 😄 Nice rooms... although they could use a little refurbishment. A lick of paint here, a screwdriver there and they're back up to date. The hotel is large and cozy, perfect for wandering around. Only in the evening it is a bit quiet... just say: Countryside rest position on. No fuss, no party, but do go to bed early like real adventurers. But fair enough: we enjoyed it, laughed well and stayed wonderfully. Peace, space and cosiness Finnish style!
