BEST WESTERN HOTEL DES FRANCS

Poor food and really bad service

We chose this hotel more for the situation as we were returning to the UK but were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Good location in town with great underground parking. Modern hotel and staff made us very welcome. Our room was truly excllent and there can be no complaints at all. It included a very spacious, sunny terrace but, unfortunately, it was just far to hot for anything other than drying clothes and towels! Again unfortunately, it was a Sunday and the World Cup was on in the bar area and also outside which meant only the restuarant for us. This was more than acceptable until a party of about 20 came in and shattered the peace!!! The normal dining menu was suspended and instead a "Bistro" menu only was available. The sole reason that we might not consider using it as a stopover in future would be the distance to the autoroutes but the town looks as if it would be well worth a visit,

Great location in a very quiet and safe area. The rooms are spacious, featuring a double sink in the bathroom, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Parking is conveniently available under the hotel. Breakfast is served until 10:00 am. On the first morning, we arrived at 8:45 am, but the buffet was not well-maintained, and several items were missing; we had to ask the staff to replenish the food. On the second morning, we came down at 10:00 am and experienced similar issues.
