Riviera Marriott Hotel Monaco

Staff is very attentive, but the room is old and really not up to par. Acceptable breakfast but not worthy of a 4-star hotel. The chairs on the terrace are all covered in pigeon droppings. The location of the hotel and the friendly staff saved my stay, but I will not pay this price again for such a disappointing hotel.

We spent a week in July here as a family. The hotel itself is really nice, the staff are all friendly and super helpful. Rooms clean and have everything you need (including a hairdryer, iron, toiletries and fridge), we had a view over the port where you can watch the boats and helicopters come and go. We had breakfast included which was plentiful, continental and a hot selection available. We also ate a couple of times in the restaurant (Bolinas) which was also very good. Swimming pool is on the smaller side with not many beds but people do come and go throughout the day so we always found a spot. Close to the beach and a couple of beach clubs where you can get sunbeds. Location wise, there are limited places to eat and drink. A small supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. We spent a lot of time eating out in Monaco which is around a 15 minute walk to the port, would highly recommend the one way shuttle bus which leaves every hour (need to book). Overall I can’t fault this hotel and would recommend.

I am a platinum elite and reached out to their main email 3 times over a span of 7 days regarding my upcoming stay and asking for the hotel manager but received no response. Because of this - I had to cancel my reservation. Arrogant and disengaged and don’t treat their most loyal guests as guests. I have spent $1MM+ at Marriott globally. They need a shakeup at this hotel.
