JW Marriott Cannes

Seasoned travellers I will start with the negatives on arrival bags taken shown to check in all good but please be aware check in to room not until 4pm we completely understand that however poor this is hotel policy BUT we were not informed about any of the hotels amenities (roof terrace) basically left to wander around for 3 hours in clothes traveled in no refreshments offered just pretty much thanks now go away and come back when room available most if not all 4/5 star hotels we stay in we are taken through all the hotel has to offer and at least are offered refreshment after our journey and 4pm is pretty excessive for £1000 a night so information on arrival not poor it’s non existent Room good clean had to fight for a balcony but did receive The hotel is clean but possibly understaffed On the positive side once we had discovered the roof terrace it is spectacular a brilliant place to spend your day decent service and very comfortable In summary due to the complete lack of information on arrival and general information during our visit I would only give 3.5

I would like to give a shout out to Mickael who was our server at Scalini, the main restaurant at the JW Marriott Cannes. I am a physician from Colorado, US and he treated my 14 yo Daughyer and I like we were celebrities and like we were his only patrons. Every detail was attended to impeccably. The food was superb and the service was outstanding. We are making reservations for more meals here! I can offer my highest commendations for the Scalini restaurant and for Mickeael as a server!
