We've just returned from a week staying at La Rivolte. There were 11 of us and we rented the whole building. I have to say it was one of the most amazing place I've ever stayed at.
The house itself was build in 1885 and is full of French charm. High ceilings and tall windows and lots of nice touches that really make you feel at home.
The grounds are equally impressive and include the exterior dining area and lounge area as well as the swimming pool. If you fancy a walk up the hill behind the house you will find a Pétanque pit.
The house is less than half a mile from Grasse centre and it's easily walked, but as it was 37 degrees when we were there the final climb up the hill to get to the villa meant we were ready for a beer when we returned.
Grasse is a lovely town and this has to be one of the best places to stay to enjoy it. We all had a brilliant week and couldn't recommend La Rivolte highly enough.

My cousin rented the house for the family to celebrate her big birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with lovely French quilts and all have stunning views over the town to the sea. There is also a sweet cottage in the grounds with its own patio. The kitchen is lovely and large and well equipped - it has every possible pan and dish that you could want including two fabulous huge paella pans.
There is also a resident very friendly sweet little cat.
Two things to consider : the first being that it is built on the hill so you have to climb up to the boules pitch and down the hill to the lovely large swimming pool, and of course, down the hill to the town and back up a quite steep hill and secondly there are two sitting rooms but both are fairly small and cosy and you could not get all 16 people in either of them. This is not really a problem as the kitchen is so big and the weather usually means that you can be outside.
I am hoping that we can rent it again next year for another gathering of the clans.

Just got back from 3 nights at La Rivolte and we didn't want to leave. Suzie was so welcoming and made us feel so at home. The weather was pretty wet and I cannot imagine what our stay would have been like elsewhere especially out of season in Grasse when everything is pretty much closed. At La Rivolte we had a choice of cozy lounges to spend the evening with a glass of wine. The bed was really comfy and the breakfast amazing, I can't wait to go back when the weather is good enough to enjoy the pool and garden.
