GOLDSTAR RESORT

We were disappointed with our stay. The Wi-Fi was almost unusable, despite being advertised. Even Google often wouldn’t load. We were told to work from the lobby, but the connection there was only slightly better and still unreliable. The room had a bad smell, and there was hair on the bed when we arrived. The pillows were all old, lumpy, and uncomfortable. The parking area was poorly lit, and we had to use our phone torches to get from the lift to the car. The air conditioning was average and struggled to cool the room. Some staff were friendly, but others were unhelpful and seemed unhappy. Overall, the hotel did not match what was advertised, and we would not stay here again. I have attached a screenshot showing how poor the Wi-Fi was. This Google search page took around 20 minutes just to partially load, and most of the time it didn’t load at all. Calling this “Wi-Fi” is misleading, especially for guests who need to work during their stay.

Just visited last night. I was in nice for a quick visit, I was told I was upgraded. It was nice surprise. It had apartment Facilities like a microwave and fridge and cooker etc . Also very close to promenade. Lots of restaurants close by too.Tram from airport was easily accessible within 5 minutes walking. Walked to shopping centre and old town. Would consider staying again.

Had a wonderful stay at Goldstar Apartments. Very helpful staff and apartment was spacious, had all the amenities we needed i.e. freezer compartment in fridge, tiny but effective kitchen and close to all we needed to see Nice. Brilliant new cafe/patisserie across the road - La Base 25 rue Meyerbeer for breakfast. Absolutely delightful staff so all in all we could do what we wanted, when we wanted. Everyone at Goldstar and La Base were absolutley delightful. The only issue we had was advice from various sources including Tourist Information as to whether buses, trams, trains were running on 1st May - Bank Holiday. Only the trains were running despite the assurance that trams would be running as well so just beware.
