Holiday Inn Resort

Don’t be fooled by the name, this is not a holiday hotel! Looking nice and nice hotel, and very idyllic back to the sea. But there it stops: - Thought it was a pool, it's just for decoration. - An incredibly stunning area. There are plenty of restaurants, but there are only people there at night. The beaches were almost empty, and there was no one at the beach clubs. - There were few staff at the hotel, long waiting in the reception, and boring breakfast with little selection. Short conclusion: An excellent and relatively affordable airport hotel, best for 1 night if you are on your way to or home from your holiday.

This hotel is a 3 star at best. Certainly not a 4 star. The reception lobby area has a powerful musty smell like it has been flooded at some stage but this disappears once on your floor. The hotel is in bad need of renovations. It's extremely run down and Certainly not the premium price of 418beuros per night they charged plus the additional 40 euro for early check in. They won't take bookings for the free airport shuttle from the airport to the hotel but the phone line was down so couldn't get them on the phone to request the shuttle. Then when we tried to book the airport shuttle from hotel to airport it was full. So don't count on this service. Wr had paid for accomodation and breakfast and requested a breakfast to go since the restaurant was not open when we left but didn't receive it. They also tried to charge us for 250 euros of someone else's room service. There is no freezer in the fridge in the room so I requested my medical ice packs be frozen for my medicine. Only to discover they put them in the fridge so my meds didn't stay cold for my flight. On the upside, the location is walking distance to the train station just outside is the beach with a long stretch of restaurants to choose from and for the budget minded the shopping centre is also walking distance to pick up wine, beer and snacks from monoprix and eat at the rooftop restaurant on top of the shopping centre cheaply. (Pizza, pasta, antipasta and salads and drinks.)

We booked an "accessible" room over a year before we stayed but couldn't use the toilet (too high and no grab rail on RHS), sink (too high, tap unreachable) or shower (over bath). The door to the bathroom was heavy and the clothes hooks in the bathroom much too high. When we complained, they couldn't move us and delivered an unusable stool instead. Couldn't use room service as permanently engaged and needed help to get in and out of the door to the restaurant. Don't be fooled by their use of "accessible" and do not stay here if you are a wheelchair user.
