Hotel Beau Rivage

Dear Manager As a pre booked customer I am VERY concerned about these NEGATIVE ratings on trip advisor. Your reply to everybody is the same - you cannot just keep saying sorry and taking peoples money!. Are the air conditioning problems in the renovated rooms now fixed? Or are you continually 'apologising ?' We sincerely hope you are not going to put temporary fans in the rooms ? And how 'tired' are all the communal areas? As you can imagine as a pre booked customers for 4 x rooms we are extremely uneasy about what to expect on our arrival. Please see all recent Tripadvisor reviews as to why we are wary of staying in your establishment. Your website page doesn't look as though it is showing a true picture of what we thought we were pre-booking for our trip. I'd really like reassurance - here on Trip Advisor - that the problems previous guests have mentioned are now rectified for our arrival in August. If they are not - I hope you will reply directly to my friend who has emailed you directly and be fair & honest. I look forward to seeing your response.

Shameful We had booked two attic rooms side by side, but the air conditioning was not working in one of the two rooms during this heatwave A large ventilation tower had been placed in the middle of the room No one had warned us about the defective air conditioning The manager was supposed to meet us at our departure, but she hid well even though there was no one at the front desk at that precise moment The only response we received was "thank you for informing us." In response to this insolence, we are informing you that we will not be posting good reviews about your establishment

Try to stay in the rooms to the right hand side of the lobby. These are newer rooms with good air conditioning and nice bathrooms. I would not book the hotel otherwise. Nice in the summer can be hot, and not having air conditioning is a show-stopper because there are no ceiling fans in the rooms. Additionally, I had to ask to change rooms and/or get a fan at least five times. We lost, conservatively, three nights of sleep and were becoming miserable about it.
