Hotel Villa La Tour

Ideally located in Old Nice and presented as comfortable. However, the room has insufficient soundproofing. On the first floor, I was awakened at 3 AM by a loud noise from the next room. Undoubtedly a guest returning late to sleep. Strange noises continuously... I did not fall back asleep.

Difficulties in understanding at the reception Very outdated overall, including the facilities. Loose tiles in the shower, no hot water in the evening, ridiculous water pressure, moldy bathroom window curtain, no shower curtain, worn-out towels, stained carpet... Way too expensive for what it is: 265 € per night for a couple and without breakfast (not offered at the establishment)

This is a no-frills hotel. It’s not pretending to be a modern masterpiece. There are small rooms with bathrooms and they are perfectly comfortable and clean. The draw here is the charming location in the Old Town, the friendly and helpful service (really helpful in letting us check-in early and looking after our bags etc), and the overall feeling that you are really IN Nice. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again when we visit.
