Hotel Reine D'Azur

Save yourself the headache and book a room literally anywhere else. 4-5 months ago I started planning my trip and booking hotels in a lot of cities because we planned a backpacking Europe trip. I’m this case I accidentally finished my email with .con instead of .com. Therefore I never received any email confirmation or any access to my booking. I emailed the “hotel” (you can’t even call it that. It’s a dump hole just like all the staff and owners), about the error and if they could cancel the original booking, change the dates and instead create a new reservation straight from the hotel. Because of time difference from America, I didn’t get a respond and before I messaged the property I had asked my cousin who speaks French to call them on my behalf because I can’t call internationally. When she called the front desk yelled at her and said why are you asking me again, I already answered your email. That’s already the first bad impression and we should’ve cancelled then. She send me a confirmation of the booking on my email and it was left that I will pay at the property upon arrival. Well, last night we arrived at 10 pm tired and ready to go to bed, just to find out they don’t have any reservation under my name. Bc the incompetent staff couldn’t inform us that they only changed the dates, nothing else. So booking was trying to charge my card (that this staff is trying to tell me that my card wasn’t working but it’s been working on all 30 reservations and we still have upcoming stays that are all covered by the same card) and I had no idea, bc of the email error. Last night they ended up giving us the only room available which looked like an extra room for staff members to take a dump in. It is probably their most hideous room. Definitely not the room I booked. However they still charged me the same price. The staff lied multiple times to my face and just silently sat there looking down when I corrected them and told them not to lie to me. One of the lies was for example that she can’t get a hold of her superior bc it’s late but today we found out that in fact she had responded and given her the ok to charge us the same price for that hideous room. But to me she said she can’t get a hold of her and to come resolve this in the morning. Another lie was that she was supposed to close at 10pm but she hat stayed longer to wait for our arrival. How are you waiting for our arrival when you just told me you don’t even have a reservation under my name? Today the superior and her father, I presume, was there and was even more nasty then miss little incompetent. They are Arabs or something and the father started yelling at me and sending me out the door instead of dealing with this situation. Yes, I was loud and upset but after this situation I don’t think anyone can blame me. When I tried to explain my cause she sat there looking down on me and rolling her eyes, and when I tried to answer to an accusation she told me to let her finish talk. Which I did, she in fact had finished and that’s why I wanted to answer. Yet she continually interrupted me and when I asked her to let me finish talking she said she’s not done talking but I was the one talking. That’s when her father got angry and told me to calm down. I’m not calm because of your ghetto behavior. Literally save yourself the pain and energy and find another place. Out of all stays from the azores islands, through Portugal, Spain and now France this is the only hotel with this nasty attitude and ugly, nasty smelling room.

Very disappointed we sell you dream by the photos of the site but you are housed behind in a small room without sockets with view to the neighbor and the air conditioning turbines!!!! Cannot open windows due to the noise of turbines and smell.I did not sleep all night.paid 138 euros very exaggerated. Cigarette smell in the corridorsPositive clean and good breakfast

The hotel is well located. However the rooms are old, small very poorly soundproofed (with the other rooms and outside too.) Too bad the place could be so much prettier/cleaner and without cigarette smells in the hallways... The price of the room is clearly not justified. Breakfast is not worth it.
