Villa Velvet

We took an apartment and everything was spotless. The room was superb, the welcome was top-notch. The attractive price of $65, and everything was stylish and clean; I recommend these apartments in the off-season, in the summer season it is the best because it is two minutes from the beach and all the shops.

We stayed at Villa Velvet from 1 to 27 August, in a Deluxe Garden apartment, larger and more beautiful than the residence, with a garden of about 60 square meters. The property is located in an extremely quiet area of Villeneuve Loubet, 300 meters from the beach and 200 you a large siupermarket. For those who own a dog, we recommend the Plage del l’Hyppodrome, 900 meters away on foot or three minutes by car, with good parking possibilities for a fee and at derisory rates. The Residence is pleasant and modern, consisting of a two-storey building plus ground floor, Our apartment, facing south / south west, decidedly excellent, was well furnished and with fine finishes. Composed as follows: large living area, with open kitchen, beautiful sofa with peninsula, convertible into sofa bed, desk with latest generation TV, beautiful and large wooden table 6/8; seats (with 6 chairs) separated from the garden by a large door / window, wardrobe where there are also ironing board and clothesline (lacked clothespins). The open kitchen is separated from the living area by a peninsula with four comfortable stools. Kitchen equipped with washing machine (not working, but possibility to use a shared one near the reception) but missing dishwasher. Next to the kitchen area is the beautiful bathroom, equipped with double sinks, two large chests of drawers, bathtub and large shower cubicle. Towels change every two days. The toilet (separated from the bathroom as usual in France) is located on the opposite side of the living room and this is an inconvenience. The bedroom is decidedly small in size, with a double bed, built-in wardrobe, small desk, second television and safe. No problem for storing clothes and belongings, even for short stays. Added value is the garden, with a beautiful glass table and 4 chairs (where 6 people can still find space) and three comfortable sun loungers.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with a garden. The rooms were clean and accommodating. The kitchen fulfilled the basic requirements and we mainly used it to boil water. As there was no dishwasher you had to wash by hand. The kitchen also sported a washing machine that we used a couple of times. We were four persons so we used the sofa bed. The beds were good and both rooms had AC units to control the temperature. It was a bit noisy perhaps but as we were there during a heat wave it made it much easier to sleep. The garden seemed nice but it was too warm to stay outside except in the evening in our case, but then there were too many mosquitoes. We used it to dry our bathing clothes. Villa velvet is located very strategically with close proximity to the beach and to the Intermarché supermarket. You can also quickly access the highway to Antibes or Nice. The location was the best property in our case together with the clean and fresh rooms. The only thing that I would not on is that there is no wash basin in the room with the toilet so you had to wash up in the kitchen or in the shower room. No big problem really but it was not something we had noticed when booking the hotel.
