We stayed two nights at this hotel on a cycling tour of the Aube-Champagne organized by Vostravel. Friendly welcome, quiet spacious room in the back no. 10. Pool and air conditioning. With a voucher we went for dinner in restaurants Le Cellier and Vert Casserole. Bar sur Aube is a dormant town with many historic buildings. Both restaurants were excellent and surprisingly price-friendly by Belgian standards.

Very bad experience regarding the cleanliness of the room. An unpleasant odor was present as soon as we arrived. We reported the problem to the manager, but no real solution was offered to us. It was also not possible to change rooms, which is regrettable given the situation. We expected a minimum of cleanliness, comfort, and above all, that the problem would be addressed. Disappointing experience, I do not recommend this hotel.

We had booked a night through a wonderbox; the great welcome, the spacious and clean room with good bedding, and the pool being so pleasant during this hot weather convinced us to stay for one more night. Thanks to the young manager and his team for the welcome. There is no doubt that the hotel will upgrade with the ongoing renovations: we will return to test it 😉
