Interhotel Les Oliviers

Danièle A 1-week stay in July, error on the internet, it only took the reservation for 1 person instead of 2, I call to rectify, the person finds me a room without saying anything to me and gives me a Triplex, I didn't understand why. Room with a variable rate every day. Regarding the evening dining, not too much choice, breakfasts the same. On the other hand, the person who serves in the restaurant in the evening is adorable. At the end of our stay we paid the supplements we had consumed, and to our great surprise in the late afternoon, because we had returned home 450 km away, we received a call from the hotel asking us to come to the front desk to pay a supplement because supposedly the person had made a mistake on the bill, which was a real mess. I had the person on the phone who had taken care of us in the morning, I insisted several times to have a correct bill, she got angry, she wanted me to pay the requested supplement, and finally she HUNG UP ON ME. What rudeness toward guests. Be careful with this hotel; it turns out that the staff signs in your place, either because they are busy or not at the front desk. We have been loyal customers of Ibis Styles for several years; this is the first time we have had this unpleasant experience. If we have to return to Carcassonne, we will go to another hotel.

Fantastic stay, with two adults and two children. Two nights stay rooms with bunk beds and so much space. Pool open 9-9, fantastic kids had it to themselves a good few times. Highly recommend to people. Ate dinner here too food beautiful, server was so nice and helpful with kids. We also had a terrace outside our room overlooking the pool.

This is a pretty typical Ibis hotel, clean and comfortable and well located about a 15 minutes walk into the old city. I mainly chose it because it is convenient if you have a car. The parking is ample and it is easy to drive into and out of the main roads. The staff was helpful, but sometimes very busy with guests. There is no coffee tray or cups or refrigerator in the room, which in this day and age is puzzling and a minus. Some of the room furniture is kind of weird, like plastic covered straw filled stools and a hospital style tray/table. The restaurant and bar were handy to have and very pleasant. I liked being able to just order a pretty good Greek salad for dinner. There is a nice patisserie about a ten minute walk up the street where you can get pastries and sandwiches. If I return to Carcassone I would stay here again.
