Le Gouverneur

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hôtel Le Gouverneur, and it is clearly an address that we recommend. The hotel has an incredible Alsatian charm. The building, its architecture, and especially its magnificent interior courtyard immediately give the impression of being in a real little corner of Alsace. This courtyard, particularly pleasant and protected, allows you to have breakfast outside, but also to sit there in the evening to quietly have a drink. A real plus! The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which is particularly appreciated in summer. Nothing to complain about regarding breakfast either: the selection is decent, the products are of high quality, and there is plenty to start the day off right. Another big advantage: the Remparts parking lot is located just behind the hotel, about a two-minute walk away, and it is free. For a hotel located right in the historic center, it is frankly very convenient. But what we especially want to highlight is the kindness of the staff. Whether at the front desk or with the housekeeping staff, we were welcomed with great kindness, availability, and smiles throughout our entire stay. And that really makes the difference. Finally, it is hard to imagine a better location: the hotel is directly at the entrance to the shopping street, right in the heart of Obernai. You leave the car and everything is then done on foot. A very beautiful place, full of charm, ideally located and with staff who are very attentive. We will return with pleasure!

What a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff! In a 16th- century estate, we settled in very well. Officially rated "only" 3 stars - but it felt like 5 stars. Not standard rooms, but individually furnished. Room; excellent super breakfast. And all that very close to the picturesque city center. With a price-performance ratio that is still right. A really good recommendation!

The hotel is a charming old building in a great location in the centre of Obernai. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were excellent and it was great to have a separate loo with a basin and power point. Although overlooking the street the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of foods including local products. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not use the hotel's car park as the huge free public car park is very close. We enjoyed our stay and thought it very good value for money.
