A great welcome and incredible service. The staff was very friendly

We are staying for the 5th time at the Hôtel du Golf Barrière in Deauville, and it is always with as much pleasure that we return. The hotel's location is, in our eyes, ideal: in immediate proximity to the golf course, while being far enough from the center of Deauville to fully enjoy the calm, away from traffic, crowds, and noise. It is a true place of disconnection. We also really appreciate the shuttle service offered by the hotel. It is a remarkable service, which we actually regret not finding in more Barrière establishments. Being able to spend several days without taking your vehicle, while easily reaching Deauville and the various group establishments, really adds to the pleasure of the stay. But we especially want to give a very special mention to **Virginie**, who has now been accompanying us for several stays as the shuttle driver. Virginie does not just drive us from one point to another: **she is truly part of our stay experience**. Always smiling, warm, and attentive, she has an anecdote to share about Deauville, helps us discover the beauty and history of the city, and speaks about the various Barrière establishments with extremely contagious enthusiasm. She knows the Barrière world perfectly, naturally highlights its establishments and services, and makes you want to discover them. During this stay, she notably told us about Ciro’s and even spontaneously booked a table for us. We had an exceptional evening there. What touches us particularly about Virginie is the sincere attachment she has for her company and the Barrière group. This pride is felt in each of her recommendations and in her way of welcoming guests. In our eyes, she is a true ambassador for Barrière. We learned that Virginie would soon be retiring. We are obviously happy for her, but we must admit that our future stays at the Hôtel du Golf will probably no longer have quite the same flavor without her and her trips punctuated by anecdotes, advice, and good humor. After five stays, we therefore particularly wanted to thank her. Some employees, through their personality and commitment, become intimately linked to the memory one keeps of an establishment. Virginie is unquestionably one of them. Thanks to her, and thanks to all the teams at the Hôtel du Golf Barrière for these moments of calm and disconnection that we always appreciate just as much.

A beautiful hotel located on a green site, but some points should be reviewed: the rooms are not air-conditioned and this was not specified to us when we booked. This is a very negative point. The pool is overrun with very young children; there is a real hygiene problem in this pool. A pool should be created for young children. There are not enough lounge chairs and umbrellas for the number of occupants. Breakfast is very good, but the evening restaurant was very bad. The park is beautiful but reserved for golfers.
