Brit Hotel Caen Est

Basic accomodation at low prices. Next to the main bypass around Caen. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Double/family room with washbasin was adequate after a late channel crossing. Showers & toilets a bit tacky and in need of renovation.

basic accomodation clean and tidy room double bed and overhead kids bed .. sink mirror two very small towels like hand towels so take a bath towel with you also a electric kettle. cups etc.has tv no english chanels and heater. has free wifi. very quite . toilets and showers okay which are in corridor . ideal cheap accomodation to sleep breakfast and do your sightseeing. breakfast basic bread toast jam butter tea coffee cereal milk for £3.50. drawback is breakfast area is at reception and the entrance were heavy smoking takes place.. lots of workers use the hotel but they leave around 0800/0900hrs. staff are friendly. there is a supermarket across the car park. basic cheap hotel..

Having pre-booked a room and breakfast for two via the F1 website, it was really surprising and annoying to be told on arriving (at 9:30 pm) that there would be no breakfasts "as there were not enough people staying to warrant the baker delivering bread". The manager attempted to make slight amends by giving us half a brioche but nothing to go on it!. One (of two) toilets on our floor was on the blink. The tap in our room was coming adrift (as was a communal one). The manager (an Indian) spent a long time telling me I had not read the booking info correctly (rather than providing any me with any help). Not impressed.
