Hotel Saint Jacques

I was not at the hotel but we had dinner at the restaurant. After an unjustified wait, I order a goat salad without shallots...As prepared in advance.. Shallots were truncated in the plate. Horrible. Bad reception. To flee

At nearly 10 pm I was glad to find somewhere that still had a room in this region of hotel desert. For the price I can't really complain other than about the strong tobacco stench in the reception and the fact that soundproofing between rooms is very poor. On a good note, the small functional room was spotlessly clean and for the price was adequate. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than an overnight stop. Some comments claim the manageress is unpleasant. She is not particularly cheerful, but to call her unpleasant is an exaggeration. She dealt with me efficiently and politely.

We stopped at the restaurant for lunch and found it to be a great place for a delicious inexpensive lunch. No, the decor probably hasn’t changed for decades but we found it charming. The food was hot, the fries were crispy, my mushroom omelette was generous and the place was packed with locals. Don’t overlook this place if you are searching for a good meal.
