Inter-hotel Beaulieu

Great cost effective hotel close to food and shops and convenient for getting about. Two restaurants next door pizza and steak house both offer a discount for hotel guests. Local to some shops and supermarket. Good access to motorways and close to La Rochelle. Free parking and lots of spaces. Room basic but reception staff very helpful and friendly and happy to speak in French or English.

Very poor indeed ,in a terrible industrial place ,no English spoke ,girl on desk kept her conversation on phone with me standing there (oap on own) not a word could she understand ,ON FRONT. DESk!!! I didn't even see my room said I was leaving but took 94£ from my card . I thought it was free cancellation what a con .la Rochelle fully booked for,festival so caught next flight back to uk what a waste all due to being a no star transport cafe

This place is a basic hotel without the benefits of 3/4 people to a room - we had to make do with two double rooms for 2 kids and 2 adults - but given it was short notice, August and the Socialists were in town for a National Conference we had to be happy with what we got. Small plus were the breakfasts were decent for €9 per head and only € for the little one - strictly 5 and under but we managed to squeeze in with a 6 year old. Also you can buy your Aquarium tickets subsidised from the hotel which saved a few Euros plus a good 20 minutes queueing up. Also there is a big Super-U supermarket around the corner which is useful
