Hotel Genovese is lovely boutique hotel perched in the prime location in Bonifacio. We stayed in there port side room, which had a great view of the Marina and was close to the restaurants in the marina. The room was clean and comfortable, there was also an ice machine in the room. The pool in the main hotel is quite fresh and perfect for sun bathing. Overall Hotel Genovese is great hotel and I would recommend staying there.

Hotel in a good location and courteous staff. We really appreciated that they came to pick us up at the port since there were no taxis available. Unfortunately, even though we had booked the room for three people months in advance, we were assigned a room with a strong smell of mold. We reported the problem and they offered us a cappuccino in the morning, a gesture that was certainly appreciated. However, considering the price of the room, we expected something more and above all better accommodation.

Perfect location for a short trip to Bonifacio! We spent a few days here to explore the old town of Bonifacio – and for exactly that, the hotel's location is simply unbeatable. You basically just cross the street and are right in the middle of it. The room: We were in room no. 1. It is absolutely functional and clean, even if it has seen better days. A kettle, coffee, and a bottle of water were provided, which was nice. The absolute highlight, however, is the large balcony with a view of the harbor. The view is truly breathtaking! Only drawback: Unfortunately, the balcony lacks a sun umbrella or similar sun protection. During the day, the sun beats down on it so much that you really cannot spend any time there. With a few small touches, you could really get even more out of the rooms. Service & Dining: The breakfast was really good, fresh, and plentiful. The staff at the reception were consistently extremely friendly and helpful. In the breakfast area, the staff unfortunately seemed a bit unmotivated at times in comparison. Conclusion: A nice, quiet, and clean 4-star hotel that could use a renovation in one or two places. We give it a well-deserved 4 stars primarily because of the fantastic location and the quiet. For a short trip of one to two days, we would definitely come back!
