This hotel, housed in a beautiful 19th century mansion, is located in the city centre. Easily accessible with GPS. Kind and competent service. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise.

It is a very nice outside hotel and the apartment that we had been well decorated. However, it lacks all the services to deserve the 4 stars. It starts with the horrendous welcome: polite but always to tell you that it is not possible. The same sentence: “when you booked your room, you should have booked... the restaurant... the parking... the spa...”. The person does not take us to our room but tells us: it is the door surrounded there in blue, 3rd floor. As the restaurant is full, we enjoy the cuisine. The oven is super dirty, fried licks but even more so the grill. And a chair is missing around the table... It’s stupid but it keeps annoying. TV promises to be able to cast movies... in the end, it is not possible because the hotel has blocked the possibility. And again my son had to rewire to make the TV work. Well-sold luxury services but nothing in reality.

On that cold and dark winter evebing, we were gracefully helped by phone by the reception lady in order to reach the hotel located within the pedestrian corner of the city. A beautiful Maison de Maître serves as the Edgar hôtel. Check-in was swift and pleasant, and we had access to an elevator for our humougous suitcases. We entered a beautifully-decorated and warm bedroom, and were nicely advised by our receptionist on which restaurant would be open for dinner (winter Sunday night). Had a resting sleep and a tasty breakfast. Only good things to say, basically. I want to emphasize here that we had a wheel chair accessible bedroom on the 1st floor (the hotel has 3), which I found interesting. The bathroom was all planned for wheel chair access. In case anyone here needs this type of facility, you can book Edgar hotel!
