Hotel Saint Albert

Hotel a stone's throw from the historic center. The room we had was spacious and recently renovated. However, the bathtub needs to be replaced. Be aware that there is no elevator. No one at the front desk between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. or in the evening after 8 p.m., which surprised us a little. The access door is locked and you enter with a card. Decent breakfast, choice a bit limited. Friendly staff.

Ideally located hotel, near the historic center, with a certain charm. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We did not have breakfast there... I highly recommend it; if we return to Sarlat, we will go back there.

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay while exploring Sarlat. After a day that hit over 40°C, we stopped for a quick lunch in town before the 3pm check-in. The warm welcome at the front desk was matched only by the relief of stepping into a beautifully air-conditioned room. After surviving a wedding in the heat the day before, it was exactly what we needed for a midday nap and a chance to escape the temperature for a while. The room fridge was stocked with water and also kept the wine we’d picked up chilled so it didn’t overheat in the car. The shower pressure was fantastic and left us feeling refreshed enough to wander through the city in the evening and enjoy dinner. We stayed on the top floor, which wasn’t a problem for us, but there’s no lift. It’s worth checking with the owners if you have mobility concerns. Otherwise, it’s a good idea to pack a smaller overnight bag for your stay.
