Le Relais des 5 Chateaux

Mediocre and aggressive welcome on the phone, hotel well located but noisy room on the road side, plus incessant noise from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., perhaps an electrical problem? Room borderline in terms of cleanliness, damaged floor and dirty woodwork.. No value for money, hotel to avoid...

Very disappointing, especially for the price. We were extremely disappointed with our stay. Upon our arrival, the room smelled musty and the cleaning was clearly insufficient: stains on the sheets and bedding, towels that smelled bad, dirty bathroom with an old oilcloth on the floor. We didn't even dare to walk barefoot in the room. Noise is also a huge problem. Some rooms are located just a few meters from the main road, which is very busy, with vehicles that can travel up to 70 km/h. Impossible to sleep with the windows open. When it is hot, you therefore have to choose between the noise of the road and that of the fan, which is itself very noisy. A motor or installation noise also runs continuously, making nights particularly difficult. The bedding is deplorable and the welcome was not particularly warm. The only positive point remains the breakfast, but at €11.50, we also expected better. To summarize: insufficient cleanliness, uncomfortable bedding, significant noise pollution, and a very disappointing price-quality ratio. We came to rest and unfortunately spent very restless nights. We will not be back.

Very nice hotel, excellent cuisine, welcoming team. We had a great weekend! We will definitely return!
