́Hotel Belle Isle sur Risle ́ is a hidden jewel in Pont-Audemer. Literally, because the beautiful 19th century typical French country house is built on a private island in the Risle river. The hotel is surrounded by a park with old trees under which there are many quiet seating areas. We discovered this beautiful hotel last year and booked a stay again this summer. Upon arrival, a wonderful surprise awaited us: we got an upgrade! Our spacious, beautiful corner room ́Opaze ́(nr8) had 3 terraces with a table and 2 chairs each. Lovely to close the typical French folding shutters and be able to sleep in the cool. Our request when booking to place 2 single beds in our room was settled immediately. Actually, we would rather keep this hotel a secret:), but we also want to promote this stylish Normandy hotel. We appreciate the extremely personal service and the friendly atmosphere, although this is a higher class hotel. The cosy outdoor swimming pool, the rich and catered breakfast, the pianist who accompanies the exquisite dinner or end your holiday day on the terrace of the bar with soft jazz music in the background ... A Carpe Diem moment to cherish.

Wow what an exceptional place. We came here around the same time last year and enjoyed our stay so much, we returned this year with friends. The Chateau was so lovely and quaint. The old charm is definitely still reflected in the surroundings. The food is first class and service was very good. You can, if you wish, use the kayaks and bikes that are available. Lovely lovely place. We will definitely return next year.
