Holiday Inn Nimes - Petite Camargue

I am Italian; this evidently made the difference. I stayed at this hotel for two days and encountered several problems. Starting with the unfriendly staff, to the broken room door, mediocre food, and a pool very dirty with leaves and flowers. When we asked to clean the pool, we were told that, after all, it is nature that brings the leaves and flowers. The room was changed after 30 minutes during which they first told us there were no rooms available, then yes, then who knows. During dinner, we pointed out (in due time) that there was a lactose intolerance, but no valid alternatives were proposed. Example: appetizer with burrata and tomatoes, lactose-free? Just the tomatoes. I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews like this one, but unfortunately, I really don't know how this place could have gotten 4 stars.

Dirty, definitely in need of restoration for doors and furnishings. Staff was absent. They served us dinner on tables without a paper placemat, forcing us to use paper napkins just to place our utensils. When they noticed we were using the paper napkins this way, they stopped providing napkins and gave us a piece of paper towel each. Stay away from this place where rudeness reigns supreme.

Hotel with large rooms, otherwise fine. Food in the restaurant is good.
