We had to leave for another hotel. The room is like a dungeon, small and with unbearable heat. There are fans, but they are insufficient. The window faces an interior courtyard without sufficient ventilation. The elevator only stops at the intermediate floors. The staff was friendly. Extremely expensive for what it offers. The location is good, but it was impossible to stay there.

Due to the heat wave, all trains from our station to Bordeaux are canceled, and we are therefore unable to be present. After sending an email through booking and several calls, I was put in touch with a person who refused any form of understanding since she has to "pay her employees" and that we needed to take out insurance. We were expecting a gesture and not a full refund of the price. Booking also contacted us following the submission of the SNCF proof to inform us that the hotel manager was fully capable of making business decisions for his clients.

We were supposed to stay one night in this hotel that seemed charming in the center of Bordeaux during the heatwave. Arriving late with our baby under one year old, the concierge explained to us that our room on the 4th floor did not have air conditioning and was therefore too hot, especially for an infant. The website did not mention anything regarding heating / air conditioning / fan. It is not possible to stay without air conditioning with temperatures exceeding 28-30 degrees. It should be noted that the management was not accommodating and showed no empathy, with no partial refund or credit for the reserved and paid night. We were unable to use the room. We will not return!
