Hotel Ile Du Saussay

This hotel is a real disaster. Beware of the photos that do not correspond at all to reality. The rooms need rehabilitation. As luck would have it, during our stay, the air conditioning in the assigned room had just broken down; they had placed three large fans that circulated hot air and made unbearable noise. I requested to change rooms, which I obtained after insisting. In case of refusal, I would have left. This hotel does not even deserve 3 stars; it is severely lacking in maintenance both inside and outside. I won't even mention the snack offer. We were offered to have dinner in the room; there was no air conditioning in the dining room (unbearable heat); the air conditioning had probably just broken down as well 🤔 Disappointed also by the Weekendesk platform, which brushed aside all our comments 🤨 Hotel to avoid...... Move along....

I strongly advise against it. The air conditioning did not work during the heatwave! The hairdryer did not work either. Safety standards were not respected: staircase leading to the mezzanine is not secure, mezzanine is not secure, balcony is not secure. Overall, everything is outdated and does not deserve a three-star rating.

3-star hotel located on the outskirts of Ballancourt-sur-Essonne by a lake and traversed by the Essonne River. Free parking (but with some nice potholes). Well received by the manager who took care of us, in a large hall with caged birds. Room 15, on the ground floor: Room with a loft bed and a small living room: 2 armchairs, a coffee table, a small flat-screen TV whose channels are not up to date. A second TV in the loft would not be too much, and possibly a sofa in the living room! Free high-speed Wi-Fi. Two large chairs and a table along the wall with a welcome tray (tea, coffee, kettle). Large bay window with a view of the river. Daylight is well obstructed by 2 electric roller shutters. Be careful, no sheer curtains, you can be seen from outside, do not walk around in light clothing. Air conditioning available. You can even receive visits from Canada geese and two very affectionate cats. Small terrace in front of the bay window with a view of a body of water, a table, and 2 chairs (which we avoided sitting in as they were ready to break). Fairly spacious bathroom, bathtub, toilet seat, sink, 2 dispensers of gel, shampoo, hairdryer. Double bed at the top of the stairs, medium size, 2 reading lights on each side of the bed, 2 large pillows. 2 blankets and a safe located in a wardrobe. Be careful not to lean too much on the wobbly wooden railings. Option to have a breakfast buffet for €11.50 and to have meals in the restaurant right next door. Nights and stays were very quiet overall. We had a good stay at this establishment.
