Bel Ombra

Rooms are dated with some equipments not working (e.g. hair dryer, TV sometimes cannot display images, etc.). Rooms have no isolation so that you can hear everything through the walls. The fridge in the room is really noisy. Mattresses are hard and one can feel their springs. Corridors stinks smoke or piss.. The main doors stay open all night long even though the room door is not secure at all. Internet is not accessible in the rooms. Etc. Etc. If you're looking for a very very very low budget-like place to stay with the price of a normal hotel, it's just the right place!

The studio we stayed in was a self contained unit. Well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. No washing up liquid. The bathroom was modern. Poor quality pillows, bed ok. The studio looked out over a car park but also had views of the fort and sea. Noisy when windows open. Studos well sound proofed. But the corridors were long and tiled so noise traveled so noisy at times. Airco worked.Staff not terribly friendly or helpful. No hotel car park so could be expensive if no one street parking available. If you're after basic convenient place to stay this place fits that bill.

Was in Calvi for four days and stayed at this place. It is more like a motel/ hostel than a hotel. There is no breakefast, you have to empty your own trash cans and the cleaning consists only of new towels (for some reason they didn't collect the used ones). The bathroom was nice, beds hard, pillows awefull and the kitchen utensils didn't match in number or design. The location however i geat just next to the citadel and above the water and shopping/ restaurants area. The price 72€ for a two bedroom room when boked at place in july is atleast 30€ below anything close bye. If you can handle some flaws and care for a good price this is for you.
