Hotel Le Tilbury

This hotel has certain advantages but also lacks commercial and ergonomic consideration. On the positive side, one must first highlight the incredible kindness of all the staff members, who are attentive at every moment to anticipating all the guests' desires. I have known hundreds of hotels in many countries and I affirm that this one is my number 1 for this criterion... Another plus is the pool and its relaxation area with its bar serving very valuable light snacks, as well as the room terraces. Let us also note the kettle and coffee in the room. But besides that, one must point out the management's lack of commercial and ergonomic vision. First and foremost, the 200-euro deposit per room, which is required and refundable (a long time) after departure, is insulting and shocking. I had not seen this mention when booking, but if I had seen it, I would never have placed my trust in a hotel that did not want to give me theirs... The price of breakfast (17 euros) is exorbitant for very average quality and variety. I have known hotels with 9-euro breakfasts that were better stocked (particularly regarding fresh cheeses)! The most extraordinary example of this lack of consideration is the layout of the pool. When I asked where one could change, I was told to go down one floor, cross the reception area, and walk down a hallway to some distant restrooms. Can you imagine the scene? You come out of the water soaking wet, and there, dripping and almost naked, you have to cross the reception area in front of stunned guests to go get your clothes! They should, of course, install changing cabins by the pool (there is plenty of room)... And for the management, allow me to suggest a few other points that deserve attention: - The hallways to the elevator, on the ground floor and on the upper floors, are plunged into darkness and the light switches are hard to find: it would be a good idea to install motion sensors to automatically turn on the lights when someone passes by. - The bathrooms are "high-tech," but there is no soap dish in the shower, no towel rack, and no shelf to put your toiletries on... - The TV is positioned in such a way that, when you are in bed, the back of the desk chair blocks part of the screen and prevents the remote control signal from working... - A fridge in the rooms would also be welcome… Let's hope that management will know how to live up to the remarkable standard of its so perfect staff!

Haughty manager, bad Honest. Very poorly equipped hotel. Breakfast to avoid and way too expensive. The room is full of ants! The employees are afraid of the manager, which clearly shows the image of the hotel
