La Roya

On the plus side - a hotel near the city in a quiet calm and picturesque location, wonderful views of the bay and Saint Florent, rooms equipped with everything you need, cleaning at a high level, staff friendly. Of the cons - the beach with some turmoil, swimming is not very pleasant (but it is for an amateur), breakfasts are mediocre, and the price is inflated. If the windows overlook the restaurant, be ready for evening music until 11 p.m.

We stayed at La Roya for 6 nights in June. It was nothing short of exceptional. The room was fantastic and spacious, with 2 private balconies and a private terrace. Plenty of space for myself, my husband, and our 5-year-old, with ocean views for all. It was exceptionally clean upon arrival and throughout our stay. The hotel is about a 15-min walk on the beach from Saint-Florent center. We did the walk several times a day with our 5-year-old with no problems. The breakfast at the hotel features high-quality products from Corsica in addition to the normal fare. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming every day. The property is extremely quiet and peaceful, though we did not feel out-of-place at all having our son with us. The staff at the hotel are absolutely wonderful. I was especially appreciative of Phillippe, who assisted me in having a special gift delivered for my husband and son, and who always took great care in assembling my son's stuffed animals in a cute way when tidying our room for us. Staff were also very helpful in arranging taxis for us when we went to other parts of the island and to/from the airport. We are from California, but I speak OK French (level B2). I had no problems at all communicating in both English and French; staff were always available to assist us no matter our needs. We can't wait to return :)

Hello, we arrived on July 7, 2026, at the 4-star hotel La Roya in St. Florent, Corsica. Very nice establishment, with a pool, gym, and very close access to the sea. In this hotel, there is an excellent restaurant run by Fany and César (yes, indeed). She welcomes us with a smile and incredible kindness, along with a team of young servers who are just as cheerful and efficient in service. César, whom we caught a glimpse of, produces very fine and pleasant cuisine with his team. A must-visit address for its cuisine and its setting. Thank you both for these few days spent together. A&K
