Nouvel Hotel

Annecy is busy and expensive in July, but this hotel is a great location, 5 minutes walk from Annecy waterside centre. The staff were helpful, and the accommodation very clean and comfortable. Layby parking opposite to unload is very useful. Parking is 2 minutes away in a public underground car park, but actually it works perfectly well. Security seems good and the hotel has a discounted price. The lift in the hotel does not go to the top floors, so with lots of luggage it can be a bit tiring. The breakfast room is small, so pick your time, and expect to be a little crowded in high season. 9 of us stayed in triple rooms, which were spacious enough and beds very comfortable. Lots of nightlife, and just a short walk to the historic waterside restaurants, it was perfect for us.

Very simple hotel. The room was clean, but old. The staff was quite nice. However, our room was not even accessible by elevator. There is also no parking available at the hotel. You don't need all that for a price well over €300. I have been to Annecy many times, and I have never stayed in such poor accommodations for so much money. Everything is acceptable, but not for the price!

Great location, clean bedding and comfy beds. That’s where the good points end!!!! Very unfriendly staff. Didn’t even look up when you passed! We were stuck in an attic bedroom with a broken shower. We asked to be moved but were told that the only family rooms are on the attic level. After explaining our issues the Receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and was unable to help in any way. There was a Small rickety lift, enough to fit 2 cases and 1 human…… just only went to 3rd floor despite there being 4 floors. So we had to drag our heavy cases up a flight of stairs. We would never have booked if we had realised all these problems as I have just had knee replacement.
