Les Campanules

The welcome and service were great! Despite a hot water problem, they apologized a thousand times and offered to provide breakfast on the house. No time in the morning, I had a quick coffee: the gesture was there and is very much appreciated. The rooms are very well-kept except for a small stain on the ceiling, surely following a water leak. I booked a room with a view of Mont Blanc: Magnificent! The restaurant in the evening is high-quality and the table service is impeccable.

This hotel is well suited for hikers, with many guests staying just one night while hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB). It's about a 10-minute walk from the center of Les Houches. The rooms are small and a bit dated. The shower had rather low water pressure, although this may have been an issue only on the third floor. Breakfast was decent, with a typically French selection of baguettes, pastries, and other basics. Dinner is available only with advance reservation, so it's worth planning ahead. The staff were friendly, and paying by credit card was quick and hassle-free.

Stayed 1 night during hiking TMB. Rooms spacious and quiet at night. Dinner was set menu- decent - brunch was good. Hotel full of hikers. Good stop on TMB
